The planned
activities for the week 7/16/2001 are as follows:
- Start Paintshop Pond (PSP) diversion pumps
- Install a 4" diameter HDPE pipe from Paintshop Pond cofferdam to Dust
Control frac tank (upgrading from current 2" dia. pipe) to supply dust
control water
- Continue chipping trees from Borrow B
- Drain Paintshop Pond
- Excavate contaminated upland soil immediately west of Northern Wetland
to construct roadway for long-reach excavator that will be used to excavate
Northern Wetland
- Continue constructing consolidation area
- Install temporary storm drain extension pipe for existing storm drain
discharge in northeast corner of the consolidation area
- Install main dewatering sump
- Pull up sheets across mouth of Waban Brook to El. 113 (these sheets
are currently submerged to allow Waban Brook to continue to discharge
into Lake Waban)
- Construct Waban Brook diversion channel through Northern Wetlands
Work
Activities
conducted during the week of 7/8/2001 include:
- Finished installing pumps and plumbing in pump station at Paintshop
Pond cofferdam. Electrical connections for pumps in progress on Friday
7/13.
- Continued loading wood chips for off site transport.
- Continued cutting/chipping trees/vegetation stockpiled on site.
- Partially drained Paintshop Pond.
- Removed/relocated fish from Paintshop Pond to Lake Waban.
- Began trenching along the north slope of the consolidation area and
placing stone in trench and along slope.
- Welded temporary storm drain extension pipe for existing storm drain
discharge in northeast corner of the consolidation area.
- Began stump removal in Northern Wetland.
- Completed Lake Waban cofferdam.
- Demolished athletic dept. storage shed.
- Built access road to main sump area.
- Continued dust control.
