The planned activities for the week 7/8/2001 are as follows:

  1. Finish installing pumps and plumbing in pump station at Paintshop Pond cofferdam. Electrical connections planned for Wednesday.
  2. Finish loading wood chips for off site transport.
  3. Cutting/chipping trees/vegetation stockpiled on site.
  4. Draining Paintshop Pond.
  5. Removing/relocating fish from Paintshop Pond.
  6. Trench along the north slope of the consolidation area and place stone in trench and along slope.
  7. Installing temporary storm drain extension pipe for existing storm drain discharge in northeast corner of the consolidation area.
  8. Begin stump removal in Northern Wetland.
  9. Complete Lake Waban cofferdam.
  10. Constructing main dewatering sump.
  11. Athletic department storage shed demolition and disposal.
  12. Continue dust control

Work activities completed during the week of 7/1/2001 include:

  1. Load and transport wood chips off site.
  2. Begin to lower Paintshop Pond.
  3. Continue clearing in contaminated zones.
  4. Continue driving sheetpile cofferdam in Lake Waban.
  5. Continued constructing northeast corner of consolidation area. Majority of cut excavation completed in the northeast corner portion.
  6. Continuing with ductile iron plumbing for surface water diversion.
  7. Excavated Waban Brook bypass channel through contaminated uplands south of Waban Brook and north of the walking path.
  8. Expanded access road around the Northern Wetland to provide access and work space for long-reach excavator to be used in Northern Wetland remediation.
