The planned activities for the week of 3/4/02 are as follows:

  1. Continue boardwalk and bridge carpentry.
  2. Complete surcharge loading in west field of consolidation area.
  3. Continue managing soil and grading in the remaining consolidation area (west field area).
  4. Continue restoration work, including wetland restoration along the edge of PSP.
  5. Continue preparing subgrades across site.
  6. Shut off surface water diversion pumps.
  7. Placement and compaction of imported fill.
  8. Stone mason completed setting stone; may set cut granite blocks in channel if they arrive.
  9. Scrape down last of the haul road material.
  10. Storm drain installation.
  11. Installing woven geotextile and sand borrow over the west field of the consolidation area to prepare for HDPE liner installation (tentatively scheduled for 3/11/02).
  12. Soil treatment personnel and majority of equipment demobilized from site.
  13. Finish demobilizing office trailer and front end loader.
  14. Remove waste materials from site.
  15. Continue health and safety air monitoring.

    Activities conducted during the week of 2/25/02 include:
  1. Continue boardwalk and bridge carpentry.
  2. Installed surcharge loading in portion of west field of consolidation area.
  3. Managing soil and grading in the remaining consolidation area (west field area).
  4. Continue restoration work.
  5. Continue preparing subgrades across site.
  6. Repaired crack in top of poured concrete cap on PSP dam.
  7. Placement and compaction of imported fill.
  8. Installed steel walkway frame over PSP dam.
  9. Set and pour detention basin outlet structure for the detention basin.
  10. Storm drain installation.
  11. Demobilized a few pieces of equipment from the site.
  12. Treated remaining soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium polysulfide reagent).
  13. Excavated treated and tested soil.
  14. Final cleanup of haul roads and work areas.
  15. Decontaminated and demobilized equipment and personnel (completed 3/1/02).
  16. Continue health and safety air monitoring.
