The planned activities for
the week of 3/4/02 are as follows:
- Continue boardwalk and bridge carpentry.
- Complete surcharge loading in west field of consolidation area.
- Continue managing soil and grading in the remaining consolidation
area (west field area).
- Continue restoration work, including wetland restoration along the
edge of PSP.
- Continue preparing subgrades across site.
- Shut off surface water diversion pumps.
- Placement and compaction of imported fill.
- Stone mason completed setting stone; may set cut granite blocks in
channel if they arrive.
- Scrape down last of the haul road material.
- Storm drain installation.
- Installing woven geotextile and sand borrow over the west field of
the consolidation area to prepare for HDPE liner installation (tentatively
scheduled for 3/11/02).
- Soil treatment personnel and majority of equipment demobilized from
site.
- Finish demobilizing office trailer and front end loader.
- Remove waste materials from site.
- Continue health and safety air monitoring.
Activities conducted during
the week of 2/25/02 include:
- Continue boardwalk and bridge carpentry.
- Installed surcharge loading in portion of west field of consolidation
area.
- Managing soil and grading in the remaining consolidation area (west
field area).
- Continue restoration work.
- Continue preparing subgrades across site.
- Repaired crack in top of poured concrete cap on PSP dam.
- Placement and compaction of imported fill.
- Installed steel walkway frame over PSP dam.
- Set and pour detention basin outlet structure for the detention basin.
- Storm drain installation.
- Demobilized a few pieces of equipment from the site.
- Treated remaining soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium
polysulfide reagent).
- Excavated treated and tested soil.
- Final cleanup of haul roads and work areas.
- Decontaminated and demobilized equipment and personnel (completed
3/1/02).
- Continue health and safety air monitoring.
