Tucker R. Crum

Tucker R. Crum is a laboratory instructor of biological sciences at Wellesley College and joined the Wellesley faculty in September 2001. She teaches the lab component of molecular genetics, cell physiology, organismal biology, and cell biology in the biological sciences department.

Crum received a B.S. from Mary Washington College and an M.S. in biology with a concentration in medical microbiology from Long Island University. She has been an instructor at University of Virginia, Barnard, Emmanuel, Simmons, and Wellesley College.

Ms. Crum enjoys melding science education with her other major interest–art. She is a museum teacher at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. She has designed museum activities for students, such as "Art for the Anatomist" and “Art for the Physiologist" and co-authored a paper entitled "Exploring Anatomy through Art."
