Mark Goldman
Mark Goldman is an Assistant Professor of Physics and member of the Program in Neuroscience at Wellesley College. He joined the faculty in the fall semester of 2003 following postdoctoral work in the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Department at MIT. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University (2000) and a B.S. in Physics from Stanford University (1993).
Professor Goldman’s research is in the field of computational neuroscience, an interdisciplinary subject that uses the mathematical modeling approaches of physics to develop computer models of various brain functions. His current research focuses on understanding the neural mechanisms underlying short-term memories and the processing of information by sensory systems.
