From 11/22/02:

On November 22, 2002, Christina Dolan joined the Wellesley College Purchasing Department as our new buyer.

Tina comes to Wellesley College from Boston University where she specialized in purchasing commodities such as furniture and office supplies. Prior to BU, Tina worked as an Assistant Buyer for Jos. A. Banks Clothiers.

Please join me in welcoming Tina to Wellesley. She is very eager to begin support the purchasing needs of the Wellesley College community.

From 9/2/02:

On September 1, 2002, Rick Russell was promoted to Distribution Center / Material Control Manager for the Wellesley College Purchasing Department. Rick has worked in the Wellesley College Distribution Center for the past 17 years.

Rick joined the Food Service department at Wellesley College in 1984 as a storekeeper, and in 1985 he transferred to the Distribution Center as the Stockperson. He has done many things through the years to improve warehouse operations - not the least of which was implementing a computerized inventory system.

Prior to coming to Wellesley College, he worked at Gray Line Tours in Boston, where he operated tour coaches, and enjoyed showing and telling people, from all over the world, about the historical sights of Boston, and New England.

Many regular customers of the Distribution Center know Rick and are familiar with his easy going and helpful nature. He is also extremely well versed in technology and is ready to help the Distribution Center move into the 21st century.

Please join me in wishing Rick the best in his new job. He is eager to support the supply needs of the Wellesley College community.

From 7/28/02:

On July 26, 2002, Mike Pagliarulo retired from the Purchasing Department after 21 years of dedicated service to Wellesley College.

Please join me in wishing Mike the best in his retirement. He has certainly earned a rest after working so hard for so long.

We will miss Mike's dedication to the Wellesley College Distribution Center, he ran a model operation. Stock-outs were nearly non-existent under Mike.

Mike will be missed.

From 6/14/02:

On June 14, 2002, Pat Walton retired from the Purchasing Department after 22 years of dedicated service to Wellesley College.

Please join me in wishing Pat the best in her retirement. She has certainly earned a rest after working so hard for so long.

We will miss her cheery sense of humor, her dedication, her enthusiasm and her commitment to the Purchasing Department. She will be very hard to replace.
