Buy Green Program

 

The Purchasing Department is currently working on a Wellesley College Green Purchasing Policy.

                                           

Buying green means purchasing products or services that will reduce environmental impact. This can be achieved in a number of ways and may mean looking at product characteristics such as energy efficiency, or the pollution generated by making the product. It means focusing on packaging, waste disposal, resource use, transportation, durability, and many other issues.

The BUY GREEN Program will offer interested Wellesley College Purchasing Department customer options on their purchases that are more friendly to the environment.

We hope to assist the Wellesley College community with
meeting their purchasing needs in a socially responsible
way.
