If you are on the Wellesley
College network, with access to the file servers and using a
Macintosh:
- Locate the NTM server by opening the
Chooser, then by selecting Science Center as a zone,
then NTM, then Community.
- You will see a number of folders. Select
and open the Mac folder. Open the Dormnet folder.
Open PowerPCs or Older Macs depending on which
computer you use. (Within the PowerPCs folder you will see
two folders. One is called Open Transport Power PCs, the
other Non-open Transport Power PCs. You can select
either.)
- You will see a number of folders. Find
the one called Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.01 and copy the
folder to your own computer by dragging it to your hard drive
icon. This will copy your folder to your hard drive.
- You can now close the file server
windows.
- Find the Adobe Acrobat Reader
folder, and open it. Double click on the Installer.
Follow the directions given.
- Once the program is installed, you ready
to read PDF documents.
- If you are a faculty or staff member and
have problems, contact the Helpdesk. If you are a student and have
problems, contact your Dormnet consultant. Cluster computers
should have this software already installed.
If you are on the Wellesley
College network and using a PC with access to the
fileservers.
- For a PC, locate NTM in your
Network Neighborhood, then open the Community,
Windows95, and Win95 folders. Copy the
acroread folder to your hard drive's Download
directory.
- Install the program by clicking on the
file which ends with .exe
- If you are a faculty or staff member and
have problems, contact the Helpdesk. If you are a student and have
problems, contact your Dormnet consultant. Cluster computers
should have this software already installed.
