ONLINE ACCESS FOR FALL 2006 REGISTRATION WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

 

 

Apr. 18   Class of 2007, DS’s with 19 or more completed units, post-bacs

Tuesday 8:00am 4/18 to 11:00pm 4/18

Apr. 19   Class of 2008, DS’s with 11 to 18.99 completed units

                        Wednesday 8:00am 4/19 to 11:00pm 4/19

Apr. 20   Class of 2009, DS’s with 3 to 10.99 completed units

                        Thursday 8:00am to 11:00pm 4/20

 

Please note every student will have one day to register with her class during this initial registration period.  The registration tallies will be posted around 3:00 pm each afternoon of this initial registration period. You will be able to register for only 4.75 units at this time.

 

Waitlist will only be available for labs, conferences, or discussions.

 

The online registration system for the fall 2006 semester will reopen for all students on Friday,

 May 5th and remain open through Friday, August 18th.  Students may make changes to their registration during this time.

 

The fall preliminary class schedule is posted on the CWIS.  The Registrar’s Office is not sending printed preliminary schedules to students because the class schedule on the CWIS provides the most up-to-date information.  Navigate to the fall schedule from the Registrar’s Homepage:

Please take care when entering your ID and PIN number.  Entering the wrong PIN or ID number 8 times disables your account.  If your account has been disabled, you must come into the Registrar’s office with proper ID to have your account reactivated.  If you have forgotten your pin number, click on the “Forgot Pin?” button on the login page to answer your personal security question, (which you have previously set up), to access your account.

 

BASIC ONLINE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

 

(Please note that the Banner Self Service web site is best viewed Internet Explorer version 6 on the PC or Safari version 1.3 on MAC OS X.)

 

Log into the Wellesley College’s Homepage; http://www.wellesley.edu/

 

Click on the title Especially for…Students and choose Banner Self Service.

This will bring you to the “Access to Grades, etc. is available by clicking here” page.

After clicking as directed you will be able to login at Students, Faculty and Staff-Click

Here to Log In.”       

 

Each term students must acknowledge that they are responsible for the cost of their education.

If you have not already done, you will be prompted to do so before you can proceed with registration.

Check the “I Agree” circle, and Click on Done to continue to register.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

From the Student Services & Financial Aid Menu

              Click on Registration

                        Click on Register for Classes

From the pull-down menu, choose the term. (Fall 2006)

 

Click on Submit Term

Registering for courses for the first time

 

A blank registration form titled “Add Class” appears.  You may begin the registration process by placing your cursor in the first CRN field and typing in your first CRN.

 

Moving your cursor with the mouse or the tab key, continue to insert CRNs in each of the blocks until you have recorded all of your course selections, including lab, conference and discussion sections.

 

When you have recorded all of your CRNs, click on Submit Changes.  If you do not, NO COURSES WILL BE ADDED.

Enrollment limit has been reached. Select another course or add yourself to the waitlist. NN WAITLISTED is the number of students

already waitlisted.  If you add yourself to the waitlist*, your waitlist number will be one more than this number.

*Only if a waitlist is available.

MAJOR RESTRICTION

Enrollment is based on declared major. Select another course or fill out the exception form to clarify your major at the Registrar’s Office.

 

DUPLICATE CRN

You have added the same CRN twice. Web Drop this one.

 

LINK_ERROR TYPE XX REG

You have selected a course that requires lab or conference sections or vice versa. Add the course CRN again, along with the lab or conference section. One will not be accepted as registered without the other.  If all labs or conferences are full, fill out an exception form and submit it to the Registrar’s Office.

 

 

MAXIMUM HOURS EXCEEDED

You cannot override the 4.75 credit limit so you may not register for any more courses.

 

REPEAT COUNT EXCEEDS 0

You cannot authorize a repeated course so fill out an exception form and submit it to the Registrar’s Office.

 

TIME CONFLICT WITH CRN #12345

You must select courses that do not conflict.

 

INSTRUCTOR CONSENT REQUIRED

Fill out an exception form and submit it to Registrar’s Office after the instructor has signed it.

 

 

 

How to Put Yourself On A Waitlist If One is Available:

 

The action column has a pull-down menu with the following options: 1. None  2. Web Drop and 3. Web Wait List.  If you wish to add yourself to the waitlist, click on the triangle next to the action column until the Web Wait List option is highlighted and then click on the Submit Changes button. (If you do not click on this button, you will not be waitlisted.)  Scroll to the right to view the status column which displays further information

 

You can avoid some registration problems by checking the CWIS for the most accurate information before sending in your registration.  A copy of the schedule can be found from the Registrar’s homepage.
