SELF-SCHEDULED EXAMINATIONS INFORMATION

Self-scheduled exams are designed to allow students to determine their own exam schedule. They are offered in ten time slots and students may choose to take any exam in any time slot. All self-scheduled exams are to be picked up and taken in either the Founders or Science Center Exam Centers. Exams may be picked up any time during the one-half hour preceding each exam timeslot. To obtain an exam, students must present a completed registration card and a picture ID. (Wellesley ID or driver's license). Registration cards are available at the exam center.

Examinations will be available during the one-half hour preceeding each period. Each student will receive an exam envelope marked with her name and the time it was given out. Students have a maximum of 2.5 hours from the time noted on the exam to complete the exam; however, all exams MUST be returned by the end of the exam period even if it is not the full 2.5 hours.

Students may take closed book exams in any of the exam rooms marked "Closed book." Students are not permitted to take any written or printed material into these exam rooms. Open book exams may be taken in any of the rooms so marked. "Open Book" includes the use of books, notebooks, note cards, papers, prepared questions, etc. All open books exams are marked on the exam envelope.

A student who becomes ill during an exam and is unable to finish must report to the proctor at the distribution desk. She/he will be taken to the Infirmary where, if possible, the exam may be completed later in the day. Remember that once an exam envelope is opened, a student may not postpone the completion of the exam unless taken to the Infirmary.
