WINTERSESSION ACADEMIC CREDIT

 

INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS

 

Wintersession courses taken for academic credit will appear separately on the Wellesley College transcript under the Wintersession term.  The last day to add or drop a course and not have it appear on your record is Wednesday, January 7th, 2009.  Wintersession add/drop cards are available in the Registrar’s Office. (Students not on Campus may also send email to regoffice@wellesley.edu)

 

If you wish to take a Wintersession course on a credit/no credit basis, you have until Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. to complete the process.  Credit/Non cards are available in the Registrar’s Office.  **If you are registered for a Wellesley course taught elsewhere, in lieu of cards we will accept EMAIL (regoffice@wellesley.edu), FAX (781-283-3680), or mail which is postmarked by Wednesday, January 7th, 2009.

 

If you take any of the beginning languages during IAP at MIT and do not complete the second half during the spring semester, the credit you have received for the IAP course will be removed.

Important Dates for Wintersession

1/7      Wednesday               Last day to add a class                               

Last day to drop without the WDR appearing on the record

                        Credit/No Credit ends at 4:30 p.m.

 

1/19    Monday                     Martin Luther King Jr. Day – no classes

1/26    Monday                     Last day of class; last day to withdraw from class

 

Courses at MIT during the Independent Activities Period

 

Once again, it will be possible to take some of the courses offered at MIT during IAP for Wellesley credit.  Courses that earn at least .5 units of Wellesley credit AND that have been approved by the appropriate department at Wellesley are posted on the Registrar’s Office web page:  http://www.wellesley.edu/Registrar/IAPApp.2009.html

 

  Wellesley College students register for MIT IAP courses by the submission of a cross registration form to the Wellesley College Registrar’s Office at the beginning of Wintersession. Wellesley College students complete the cross-registration process at the MIT Student Services Center (Rm 11-120) (If required by MIT, some Wellesley students may register earlier)
