sponsors or co-sponsors educational programs and conferences,
and works with professional organizations to engage issues of
religious pluralism and spirituality in education.
EDUCATION
as Transformation's first major event took place
in 1998, with a national gathering at Wellesley College that
attracted 1000 people from across the country. Subsequent conferences
were held in 1999 at Baruch College in New York City and in
2000 at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Inward
Bound held at North Carolina State University in October, 2002,
co-sponsored with the Self Knowledge Symposium. In 2006, the Third Vittachi International Conference "Rethinking Educational Change" at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. New collaborations
and venues for conferences are always welcome.
Staff
and associates of EDUCATION as Transformation offer programs
at professional conferences, such as those of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, the National
Association of Student Personnel Administrators, and the Council
of Independent Colleges.
