PROGRAMS AT WELLESLEY
The
Office of Religious and Spiritual Life supports the celebration
of these religious traditions and acts as a liason to local
religious leaders and communities.
Al Muslimat (

)
Opportunities for Muslim students, faculty and staff have
greatly increased at Wellesley. Wellesley has an official
advisor to Muslim students who is a part of the religious
life team. In addition, the Al Muslimat Prayer Room is located
on the lower level of Houghton Memorial Chapel. Muslim students
meet regularly for study and prayer. Al Muslimat also facilitates
coordination with the Islamic Center of Wayland and other

Baha'i Students at Wellesley (

Baha'i students at Wellesley gather on campus for fellowship,
participate in the greater Boston Baha'i community and are
involved in social justice efforts throughout Eastern Massachusetts.

Wellesley Buddhist Community (

Buddhist students from various traditions have opportunities
to gather at Wellesley for meditation, practice and discussion.
On weekdays there are programs of Zen Meditation and practice
and Tibetan Buddhist meditation and practice. Buddhist students
of all traditions are welcome to attend these programs and

Hillel/Jewish Chaplaincy (

Jewish students, faculty and staff will find a varied program
of cultural, spiritual, educational and religious activities
including weekly Shabbat services, High Holiday services,
and study/discussion groups. The Hillel lounge is located
in Billings Hall in the Schneider Student Center and is used
for worship and other gatherings. A Kosher kitchen is also
available for use in Billings. Kosher meal options are available
and Pomeroy dining hall serves Kosher/vegetarian food at all

Darshana ( WEBSITE )
The Hindu Student Association at Wellesley gathers for prayer,
study and friendship at Wellesley. A campus-wide Diwali celebration
is am annual event. Students also travel to nearby temples

Protestant Christian Chaplaincy (

The Protestant Christian Chaplaincy at Wellesley College offers
ecumenical worship on Sundays in Houghton Memorial Chapel.
Responding to the needs of the great diversity of Protestant
students at Wellesley, the Protestant Chaplaincy offers a
variety of educational, social and spiritual activities throughout

Catholic students, faculty and staff are welcome to gather together to celebrate, pray and enjoy community through a variety of educational, social and spiritual activities on campus. We enjoy a close relationship with our neighboring parish, St. Paul’s which is but a short walk from campus.
Sikh Students at Wellesley
Sikh students at Wellesley are supported by the Office of
Religious and Spiritual Life and by the local Sikh community
in Millis. In 1996 Wellesley hosted the visit of Yogi Bashan
to New England.
