  • Divine Feminine in HINDU and BUDDHIST tradition, beginning Wednesday, October 24th, 6-7 pm

The power and energy of connecting with the divine feminine has the capacity to sharpen our perceptions and deepen our understanding of ourself. In Hindu and Buddhist tradition, practices connected with these archetypes reveal the power, grace, and clarity within our heart/mind. We will focus on aspects of the divine feminine which strengthen our capacity to love and to awaken. The energies represented include Durga, the energy of Earth, Kali, the fierce love and transformative energy of creation and destruction, Lakshmi, the bestower of health and happiness and Sarasvati, the goddess of learning, Kwan Seum Bosal, the Bodhissatva of compassion; Tara, the playful, radiant and strong Bodhissatva in Tibetan tradition and the transformative Dakini.

These study sessions will include art- visualisation-metta practice-kirtan chanting and sacred movement. This class will meet WEDNESDAYS 6-7 pm in the Meditation Space, 3/F Schneider Center.
