Multi-Faith Living and Learning Community
The Multifaith Team was established at Wellesley in 1993 as a response to the increasing diversity of the student body. The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life "strives to support the spiritual, educational, and worship needs of Wellesley Students." The Office is located in Billings and always welcomes guests for questions!
The corridor was established in the fall of 2005 as a way for people of various religious and spiritual backgrounds to discuss the similarities and differences in their lifestyles. Every year about ten students are selected out of a pool of applications to live in the corridor. Students selected to live in the corridor participate in a variety of activities and traditions throughout the year, celebrating the rich cultures and building long lasting relationships with other students. It has been a successful effort on the part of Victor Kazanjian, dean of religious and spiritual life. The diverse group of students selected every year are from a variety of faiths including Siddha Yoga, Catholic, Hindu, Muslim, Seventh Day Adventist, Unitarian-Universalist, and many more.
