Computing at Wellesley

If you're able to bring a wireless card (802.11g/b) for your computer, do that as well. New computers probably have cards built in, but you should check.

Each residence hall is equipped with wireless Internet access in one common room. Some students also bring a personal wireless access point for their rooms--routers are not permitted. In addition to computers, the residence hall computer rooms have laser printers that are very convenient to use. Each hall has a different system for stocking the printer with paper. Students sometimes find this easier than having a personal printer, which is more convenient but can require more maintenance. The campus has many other computing locations that have printers available for use.

For more information on computing in the residence halls, check out the ResNet website, specifically the Student's Guide to Purchasing a Computer, or the general Computing at Wellesley College site.
