Federal Tax Returns

All 2007 Federal tax documents must be submitted to IDOC* . Make sure that the copies submitted are complete and signed, and include all pages, Schedules, Statements and W-2's. This signed copy of the federal tax return functions as the official tax document to verify federal aid eligibility. If the student is not required to file a 2007 tax return, she should complete a non-tax filer's statement, available from the IDOC web site.

DO NOT SUBMIT STATE TAXES.

*In cases where parents are divorced, separated, or were never married, the noncustodial parent's taxes, including all Schedules and W-2 forms, must also be submitted by the deadlines directly to Student Financial Services. For more information see Noncustodial Parent Information web page.

If your parents own any share in one or more businesses, see Business/Farm Supplement Information web page.
