Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required in order to determine eligibility for federal student aid. Be sure to include Wellesley as a recipient of the report. The Wellesley College Federal Code is 002224. For the academic year 2008-2009, you may submit the FAFSA for 2008-2009 on-line after January 1, 2008 at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Make sure both you and a parent sign the FAFSA. About four to six weeks after submitting the FAFSA, the federal government will send you a Student Aid Report (SAR). When you receive your SAR, check the comment section to see if you need to send anything to the college.

If your parents are divorced or separated, the FAFSA should only include data from the parent that you live with (the custodial parent). If your custodial parent is remarried, the information must include his/her spouse.
