J-1 Guidelines: Handouts are available at Slater International Center. A J visa form is usually given to a visiting professor or researcher, who is appointed for a term not longer than three years. H-1 Guidelines: Handouts are available at Slater International Center. An H-1 visa form is usually processed for faculty members who are appointed as regular members of the faculty, such as assistant professors on tenure positions or lecturers. Permanent Residence: Handouts are available at Slater International Center. The College supports the permanent residence process for international tenure track professors.
