How do I get support for students’ research-related expenses during the
academic year?
--Hughes funds ($300/semester) are available
for 350, 360/370 and students in the FY/Sophomore Mentoring Program.
See Mary Hogan or Adele Wolfson to make sure that you have an activity
code for eligible students. Mass Space Grant Consortium funds may also
be used for students in space-related fields.
What if I
want my student to present a paper at a conference?
--There are several possibilities for student
travel. Each of these will generally cover up to $400 of expenses per
student:

want to design a new course or do revisions on an existing one?
-Hughes curricular development grants, up

-AIRE curricular development grants, up to

What if I
want a summer research student?
- Faculty in Biological Sciences and Chemistry should check with their
REU directors that their research projects are updated and listed
as available for the coming summer.
- Other faculty members should discuss research possibilities with
students or through department programs.
- Refer students to the summer research
information on CWIS and FirstClass, available early in the spring
