Colin Channer is Wellesley College's Newhouse Visiting Professor in Creative Writing. As a dramatic writer he’s particularly fond of the work he’s done with Perry Henzell and Alain Berliner. As a fiction writer, he’s produced six major works. They include the novella The Girl With the Golden Shoes—"a nearly perfect moral fable" in the words of Russell Banks—and the novel Waiting In Vain, a Critic's Choice Selection of the Washington Post.
