Before you fill out and submit the request form, please call the helpdesk (x3333) first and make arrangements to have VNC Server installed on your Mac. Have your MacOS version handy. Depending on your version, there may be other alternatives to VNC Server. Then come back here and submit the request form.
These steps are for Windows XP. If you are running Windows Vista, please call the helpdesk (x3333) for instructions on enabling remote desktop for Vista.
You need to make sure that Remote Desktop is
enabled on the computer you want to connect to from home.
To check this, right click on My Computer, select
Properties, then select the
Remote tab. You want it to look like the screenshot below.
NOTE : You do not need to select remote users if only you (the
owner) will connect to it.
