Conference
Calling
The Wellesley
College telephone system offers six party conference calling. The Conference
feature adds up to five additional parties to an established call. The
conference parties can be inside or outside the telephone system. However,
one party must be an internal extension number to maintain the conference
connection for the duration of the conference. Both Multi-line and Single-line
telephones can establish a conference call. See feature instructions
below to use conference calling from a Multi-line or Single-line telephone.
If you
require outside assistance in setting up conference calls or need
more
than six parties connected, Wellesley College has a corporate teleconferencing
plan available from The Conference Depot.
On-demand
accounts
are set up for regular users. For one time users or if you need additional
information, please call David Falvo at x 3212 or send
e-mail. The cost for conference calling from The Conference Depot
is $.06
per line per minute.
The
Telecommunications Department loans speakerphones for group participation
in conference
calls. To request a speakerphone, send
e-mail to Teddie Borey with the request detailing the date,
time and location.
