Voice Mail - General Description - Students

Voicemail service at Wellesley consists of a private system serving faculty, resident students and administration.

Resident Students have been assigned a voicemail box. The mailbox number assigned is the same as their college extension. Students' incoming calls are answered by the voicemail system if the call is unanswered within 3 to 4 rings.

Voicemail Configuration and Functions

Configuration - Each voicemail box contains capacity and time limitations as follows:

Total number of messages allowed	20
Number of days new messages are kept	10
Number of days saved messages are kept	5
Maximum personal greeting length	30 seconds
Maximum message length	1 minute
Future delivery messages allowed	1
Future delivery up to	30 days
Maximum number of distribution lists	5
Maximum number of mailboxes per distribution list	25
Password length required	6 to 15
