Dance Marathon
This year's inaugural Dance Marathon at Wellesley College is a 12-hour philanthropic entertainment bonanza whose proceeds will go to the Wellesley College Tsunami Relief Efforts. It will take place on Saturday, April 30th, from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. in the Stone Davis dining hall.
There are two categories of participants in Dance Marathon, marathoners and moralers. Both kinds of participants join Dance Marathon by pledging to bring donations to the event.
Marathoners commit to being at DM for the whole 12 hours, and to bringing a minimum of $100 in sponsorship money. Moralers come in support of the cause and the Marathoners, and can dance for any number of time under 12 hours. For each hour they dance, they commit to bringing at least $10. Groups of 10 or more people can come as Marathoners, and commit to bringing at least $250 for the group.
Throughout the event, Marathoners and Moralers will be able to enjoy music deejayed by WZLY, performances by campus dance groups and other special guests, dance-offs, free food and drink, a raffle drawing, a Scream Tunnel hour, and breakfast at the end of the event.
To join us as a Marathoner, a Moraler, or as a group, please submit a completed
