Pan-Asian Cultural Show

The third annual Pan-Asian Cultural Show was a comprehensive celebration of the breadth, beauty, and boldness of contributions from all corners of the Asian community. Students spent hours of dedication and creativity to prepare and present diverse styles of dance, music, media and spoken word in traditional and more modern modes. The event took place on April 1, 2005 at 7 p.m. in Jewett and was sponsored by the following cultural organizations:

Earth Day Tsunami Relief Collection

Friday, April 22, 12:30-3pm. As part of WEED's Earth Day table in Schneider, Hillel Social Action will be collecting donations for Oxfam's tsunami relief efforts. In addition to providing short-term necessities, Oxfam is focusing on the long-term task of rebuilding the communities affected by the disaster.

Festival Celebrating the Artistic Legacy of East Asia

April 2-16, 2005 Wellesley College inaugurates its East Asian Studies Program with this festival, comprised of eleven events. Tsunami relief collection boxes will be located at the various venues. Details...


Marathon Ice Cream Sale to Benefit Wellesley's Tsunami Relief Fund

Monday, April 18, 2004 During the Boston Marathon, residents from Dower, Homestead, Cedar Lodge, Cervantes, French House and the College Republicans will be working together selling ice cream and fruit bars to the Wellesley College community and the general public, to raise funds for Wellesley’s Tsunami Relief Fund. The ice cream and fruit bars have been generously donated by Edy's Ice Cream.


Slater International Cultural Show

Saturday, April 16, 2004 Entrance donations, as well as proceeds from selling food, went toward grassroots organizations working in South Asia.
