The Contract

Each Union member receives a copy of the College-Union Agreement or Contract upon the completion of negotiations. The current contract ends in June 2005 and will be renegotiated around that time.

Attend the Benefits fair in November. At the fair, information will be provided about the important subject of Tuition Benefit. Since part of the Union mission is to promote educational opportunities the tuition benefit deserves special emphasis. Article 28 of the contract describes the Tuition Assistance course that relates to jobs in the bargaining unit each semester (including English as a Second Language or literacy courses). The requirements and limitations of this benefit are defined in the contract. Contact Human Resources to find out if a course is eligible.
