Volunteers

Wellesley College Friends of Horticulture volunteers are one of the Friends' most valuable resources. Our organization is blessed with people who give their time and energy to aid us in achieving our goals. With our dedicated volunteers, the Friends are constantly stretching and redefining our efforts to bring horticulture to the College community and the community at large.

Your volunteer service in support of the Wellesley College Botanic Gardens will help us to plant horticultural and botanical enthusiasm in today's students and visitors. By sharing our passions, we are "Making a Difference with Plants."

2006-07 Arboretum Training Schedule:

An four-session course in giving tours of Wellesley College's Alexandra Botanic Garden and Hunnewell Arboretum. You will learn identification tips for the various woody specimens in the Botanic Gardens, along with some special tree stories. Join us for some fun and educational walks through the Wellesley College Botanic Gardens at a glorious time of year.

Mondays, 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
April 30; May 7, 14, 21

Docent training is offered free of charge to to volunteers who agree to lead 5 tours during the academic year.
