Holidays: No classes on Monday, April 21.

Wellness courses are offered throughout the year on a semester schedule or two 8-week sessions. Class fees are $7.00 per class for a single class and $6.00 per class when you enroll in 2 classes in the same activity per week. You may deduct $5.00 for each additional activity when you enroll in more than 1 activity class (i.e., pilates/yoga). You may choose to pay for 1 session at a time or for the entire semester. Fees vary based on holiday periods.

WELLNESS COURSES

**New Course**
STRETCH AND STRENGTHEN: This new class will focus on postural alignment education, core strengthening (using modified pilates exercises), gentle stretching exercises, and meditation/breathing work.

**New Course**
EXPLORING SILENCE as a route to Inner Balance and Health: Add balance to your work life with this new course offering.“When the sun breaks through the far side of the woods and sprays gold beneath ancient oaks, it is time to turn over a new leaf and celebrate a new beginning.” -“A Cherokee Feast of Days.” Daily Meditations. Using texts from Eastern and Native Americans cultures we will look at different wisdom traditions and practices. A variety of meditation models will be sampled including, reading verses, guided meditations, mindful eating, and weather permitting, walking meditations on campus.

INTEGRATED FITNESS:
Monday: Slengthening Technique
This class is designed to maximize your flexibility and strength using a variety of exercise props and weights.  Leave class feeling taller and stronger!  All levels are welcome.
Wednesday:  Rebounding and Ball Workout
You will increase your endurance and muscle tone through the use of rebounders (mini-trampolines). This vertical core workout will enhance balance while increasing cardiovascular fitness.

INTERVAL TRAINING:  Interval Training is a combination of cardiovascular activity interspersed with strength training.  Participants will benefit from improved cardiovascular fitness, strength and muscle tone.

PILATES:  Pilates focuses on strengthening your body’s “anatomical center” - your abdomen, lower body and buttocks.  Each movement stretches and strengthens the involved group, while opening the joints and releasing tension.

TAI CHI:  The focus of this class will include a brief meditation to music, breathing exercises, stretching and Tai Chi moves.

YOGA
Vinyasa Flow Yoga:  This class focuses on integrating breath and movement, strength and flexibility, awareness and alignment.  Start your day with a flowing yoga meditation/workout.

Iyengar Yoga: The focus of the classes will be on standing poses, simple forward bends, back bends, twists and strengthening work.  Also included will be restorative poses, breathing techniques and meditation.

ZUMBA FITNESS:  Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international dance styles combined with fitness elements to create a total cardiovascular and conditioning workout.  Prepare to burn a lot of calories and perspire with this fun activity!

STRENGTH TRAINING: Tone up! Increase your metabolism and improve your bone density through a weight training class.  The class focuses on increasing muscle muscle strength and endurance through the use of small hand weights.  All levels welcome.

Walking Club: Meet at the Sports Center fieldhouse indoor track for a brisk walk with the Walking Club.
