Hello. I'm the Production Editor here at the Women's Review. I lay out the magazine, update this website, assign reviews, edit reviews, order books and, well, you know, all those things that we all do at small publications.
Before I came here in 1999, I worked for Phoenix Personals (The Love Squad), published my own magazine (Paramour -- want a back issue?) for five years, and worked as a computer graphics programmer (back when computer graphics programming was something different from other kinds of programming). I still do a bit of writing, sometimes for the Women's Review, and a bit of graphic design on the side, and other'n that I'd have to say I am fairly gainless, which is a nice change after having run my magazine. (That's hard! You should try it!)
I grew up in New York in a Woody Allen movie (might as well have), then spent eight or nine years in San Francisco before moving to Cambridge in 1987 and, yes, I swear, I really do like it better here than in San Francisco. Go figger. And for the past few years I've been spending a fair amount of time in Gloucester, where I bought a house (want to rent it during the summer?), which is my new favorite place.
E-mail me for fun and profit at NoTeaParty@yahoo.com.
My friend Susanne's bridal shower (I am far left, she is second from left)
A few summers ago, I went to Italy and swam in the Blue Grotto!
