Subscription FAQ

How often does the Women's Review come out? The Women's Review is published eleven times a year, and is normally mailed out in the third week of the month prior to the date of issue. (We do not publish an August issue.) Any new subscription received by the 10th of the month will begin with the immediately following month's issue. Postage and handling costs make it impossible for us to backdate subscriptions, but we can supply back issues for $4.00 each, prepaid.

Does the Women's Review sell my name to other organizations? We occasionally make our subscription list available to select organizations whose products or services may interest our readers. No one is allowed to use our list without our approval. If you do not want your name to be released in this way, please tell us, and we'll delete it from the lists that we make available.

I moved and my mail wasn't forwarded: can I get the issues I missed? Yes, we're happy to send missed issues, even if the Post Office was to blame! We want you to get ALL the issues of your subscription: just use the delivery problem form above to let us know which issues you missed. Remember that the Post Office won't automatically notify us that you've moved - send along that change of address form, or email it using the change of address form above.

My last issue arrived with torn pages: can you replace it? Yes, we're happy to replace issues damaged in the "mailstream." We want you to get all your issues in perfect condition: just use the delivery problem form above to send us the details.

I'd like to buy 20 copies of a back issue for a class I teach. Can I get them at a discount? Yes: if you order ten copies or more of the same issue, you can get them for 60% of the cover price, or $2.40 per issue. 20 copies will cost you $48 including shipping and handling. We need prepayment for all back issue orders: you can go to our Back Issues page to pay by Visa or MasterCard, or send your order with a check to Back Issues, The Women's Review of Books, Wellesley College, Wellesley MA 02481. You can of course also order individual back issues for the cover price of $4.

I'm a student: can I get a subscription at a discount rate? Sorry, no: we price the Women's Review as cheaply as we can, and can't afford to offer any additional discounts.
