Homicide Commentary and Resources "Homicide": Fall Season 1997 Baltimore Homicide detectives have their prime suspect, Dr. Janoway, in "the box," the interrogation room with a one-way mirror so other detectives can assess the questioning process. Here, Dr. Janoway's lawyer, played by actor Dan Hedaya, protects the defendant's Sixth Amendment right to counsel and deflects any questions which might further incriminate his client. As Dr. Janoway is questioned, New York detectives(from "Law and Order" since this is a joint episode of the two programs) and Baltimore's Detective Munch interrogate Mrs. Janoway about the death of the couple's daughter. Mrs. Janoway, too, has her attorney present. Even the guilty have a right to counsel. Student Writing Coming Soon! Internet Resources Homicide Homepage--online companion to the TV series.
