Schneider Center is the first building to be completed under the Wellesley 2025 campus renewal plan.
Over the years, Schneider has served as a space for music, spiritual life, a campus center, and even a black box theater. In its newest incarnation, it houses student service offices for the registrar, class deans, student financial services, the student aid society, housing, transportation, and international studies. These offices moved in during the first week of June in 2014.
The floor plans, exterior elevations, and interior renderings from designLAB architects give an overview of how the space incorporates a contemporary program while retaining and even highlighting the large open volume, with its soaring windows and delightful wooden trusses. These architectural photos taken in July 2014 show some of the interior details.
