Wellesley AAR Program

Thank you for volunteering to support Wellesley's Office of Admission as an Alumnae Admission Representative! We appreciate your enthusiasm and passion for Wellesley, and we look forward to working with you.

What's happening in the AAR Program right now...

Welcome to the Class of 2017! Decisions were released online on Thursday, March 21, 2013. Updated Admission Statistics can be found through the menu link on the left.

  • Yield Events in April:  All AARs who submitted yield event details by March 1 had their invitations included in the welcome packets for admitted students. Those clubs who would still like to organize a yield event but did not submit their event to the Admission Office should contact their admitted students in their area. All AARs were emailed their admitted student lists in the last week of March.

  • Spring Open Campus: All admitted students are invited to visit Wellesley during our large on campus program for prospective students. Diversity Day will be held Sunday, April 21 and Spring Open Campus (SOC) will be Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23. SOC is a wonderful way for students to experience a "day-in-the-life" at Wellesley, including visiting classes, staying overnight in the residence halls, and meeting fellow admitted and current students. Please feel free to recommend SOC to any admitted students you meet! Registration for the event is required. Please point students with questions regarding SOC to the admitted student website.

  • Response Day May 1: Students have until May 1 to decide whether or not to accept Wellesley's offer of admission. Students will need to let the office know online through their MyWellesley portal.

  • Waitlist: Unfortunately, we are unable to admit all the very strong and wonderfully qualified students who apply to Wellesley. Those whom we think would be a good match for Wellesley, yet fell outside of the top group, were offered a spot on the waitlist. All waitlisted students have until May 1 to indicate whether or not they opt to stay on the waitlist. Please encourage any waitlisted students with questions regarding their decision to contact the Admission Office directly. You may also refer her to the list of FAQs that was included with her waitlist letter, or found online here. If you have any questions regarding the waitlist, please feel free to call the office as well. Please note that we do not talk about a specific student's application to anyone other than the student herself.

  • Spring AAR Turnover: We know that clubs will frequently host their board elections in the spring.  Just a reminder that we suggest that AARs serve no more than three years so that others may have the opportunity to be a part of the admission process.  If your area has a club, the club must appoint an AAR.  If there is no club or the club needs help in finding a new AAR, please be in touch with our office.  Once you have found an AAR or your current AAR is ready to register, please CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.  Please note that AARs must register every year.  If you do not register, you will be removed from our list and will not receive important information.
