For more
than a century, women from all parts of the world have come
to Wellesley in pursuit of an outstanding university-level
education.
What they
find during their four years here is a highly challenging and
rewarding academic experience, friendships with students and
professors that will last a lifetime, and the confidence that
they can succeed at whatever they set out to do.
With over
70 countries represented in the student body, Wellesley College
offers international students independence, opportunity, and
challenge. The 332 faculty members contribute to the international
outlook of Wellesley's campus, with many recognized throughout
the world as authorities in music, poetry, politics, economics,
and science.
While the curriculum
offers students exposure to new ways of learning, the Slater International/Multicultural
Center provides support services and a space where students from
diverse backgrounds may convene to study, cook, and gather informally.
A student advisor for international students works with other staff
at the center to create services and an environment that will promote
the goal for which the center was established.
