Visiting
Generally speaking, it’s a transformative experience.
Take a tour, go to a class, eat (free!) lunch with a student, spend the night in a residence hall. And, of course, we’d love to see you at Spring Open Campus!
Visit our beautiful 500-acre campus, situated 12 miles west of Boston. Below are some of the visiting options we offer admitted students in April.
Spring Open Campus
Monday and Tuesday, April 22 and 23
Diversity Day: Sunday, April 21
The entire Wellesley community supports Spring Open Campus and Diversity Day and is eager to share the campus with you and your parents. Please find a detailed schedule of events as well as information on how to register.
Other April Campus Visit Options
Additional programs offered in April are as follows: Overnight Programs, Campus Tours, Information Sessions, and Class Visits. Please refer to the Admission Office Calendar for April for specific details. In addition, you might want to explore the many April events on campus.
April Alumnae Gatherings for Admitted Students
See if there is an alumnae gathering for admitted students in your area in the coming weeks. If so, we invite you and your parents to join us. It's always fun to meet alumnae, in part because they're still as excited about Wellesley as the day they graduated!

To thoroughly experience Wellesley's residential life, admitted students are welcome to make a reservation to spend the night at a Wellesley residence hall, hosted by a Wellesley student. You are welcome to stay for one night, Monday through Thursday, beginning Tuesday, March 26 through Tuesday, April 30. To schedule an overnight visit, please call us as soon as possible at (781) 283-2270. We would appreciate one week's notice. |
| Campus Tours | Student-guided campus tours are available to everyone. They generally last one hour. An appointment is not required, but we suggest that you call ahead of time to make sure tours are available on the day you plan to visit. Please check the detailed Admission Office Calendar for our tour schedule while planning your trip. |
| Information Sessions |
Admission staff members will share with you important information about Wellesley in scheduled information sessions, which generally last one hour and are held throughout April. An appointment is not necessary, but you should plan to arrive at the Admission Office about 10 minutes before the session begins. Information sessions are available weekdays, Monday-Friday (April 1 - April 30) at 9 am and 1:00 pm. We will also offer information sessions the first two Saturdays in April: April 6 and 13. Please note the Admission Office is closed Saturday, April 20; Saturday, April 27; and Monday, April 15 (Patriot's Day/Marathon Monday). |
| Class Visits |
Our professors would be delighted to welcome you in their classes. If you are interested in attending a class, please let the receptionist in the Admission Office know when you arrive for your visit. We will provide you with a schedule of available classes and a Wellesley student will guide you through the different options. Classes generally last 70 minutes. Classes are available Monday-Friday through May 1 at 8:30 am, 9:50 am, 11:10 am, 1:30 pm, and 2:50 pm (exception: Wednesday afternoon classes begin at 2:15 and 3:35 pm). Please arrive at the Admission Office 30 minutes prior to class. You'll need time to choose a class and at least 10 minutes to walk there. Please note there will be no classes on Wednesday, April 24. The Ruhlman Conference, a celebration of student achievement, will be held on that day. Guests are welcome. |
