1. I applied to Wellesley through the College Match process. How will I know if you have all of my materials?
You will receive an email from Wellesley that will allow you to login to the Wellesley applicant portal  and see all of your received credentials.

2. I didn't match with Wellesley but I am still very interested. Can I still apply?
Yes. If you are not selected to be a match with Wellesley College, you have additional options for applying to Wellesley through one of our decision plans. In order to complete your application, please submit the following:

  • Your QuestBridge Application. Please note that you must request that QuestBridge forward your application to Wellesley College. See instructions for forwarding your application.
  • Either the ACT with Writing Test or the SAT. (You must send official copies of your test scores and take tests by December of your senior year).
  • Official copies of your high school transcripts. Please note that Wellesley requires all students to submit midyear or first and second trimester grades as well.
  • Two academic teacher recommendations and one guidance counselor recommendation.

3.  Does Wellesley have an application fee?
No. There is no fee to apply to Wellesley.

4. I am an international, undocumented, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) student. Can I apply for the QuestBridge Program with Wellesley?
Yes, Wellesley does consider international, undocumented, and DACA students for the QuestBridge Match Program.

5. Can I use the same essay I submitted to QuestBridge for the Common Application or Coalition Application?
Wellesley does not require non-match finalists to submit a Common Application or Coalition Application (see answer to question 2 above for application requirements). Should you decide to submit an application via the Common Application or Coalition Application, you may copy and paste the same essay submitted through the QuestBridge application onto your Common Application or Coalition Application.

6. Is an interview required?
Interviews are not required for first year applicants, but strongly recommended. If you are interested, learn more about scheduling an interview

7. I really needed the scholarship that the College Match program provides. What is Wellesley's financial aid package like outside of College Match?
We have a need-based financial aid policy, and we fulfill 100 percent of calculated need, so for some students it could be the same. For international, undocumented, or DACA students, please note that while we meet 100% of demonstrated need for all admitted students, we are only able to fund a limited number each year. That means that the admission process is especially selective for these groups that are not being considered through the QuestBridge Match process. For information about how Wellesley determines financial need, please refer to Wellesley's Student Financial Services website.

8.  Does Wellesley offer any visit programs in the fall?
Yes!  We host an overnight program for any interested student in mid-October. See Discover Wellesley. Please check your email from QuestBridge for more information on this program and possible ways to fund your visit.
