The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, commonly known as the "Buckley Amendment," helps protect the privacy of student education records.

Among other provisions, FERPA protects the privacy of educational records, including every student's account at Wellesley College. Complete information on FERPA can be found on the United States Department of Education website.
