Wellesley has been in the top four for ethnic diversity among private liberal arts colleges for most of the 21st century, according to U.S. News & World Report.


Wellesley's 250 varsity student-athletes compete in 14 sports. Recent All-Americans were named in fencing, track, and volleyball. The swimming and diving team received the Division III Team Scholar All-America Award.
