What is your favorite Wellesley memory thus far?
One of my favorite memories is of the time a few friends and I decided-- on a whim-- to enter the Harvard National Consulting Competition. Although it took a lot of time to prepare for our presentation, we really enjoyed working together and getting to know each other more. After the event, we were sure to celebrate our achievement at Crema Cafe in Harvard Square!
Do you have a favorite spot on campus?
I love exploring the greenhouses at Wellesley and seeing all of the exotic flowers and plants that are grown there.
Describe an interesting interaction with a professor, dean, or mentor.
This past semester, I pursued independent study in systems thinking and ecological economics with one of my favorite professors. We met weekly to discuss my progress and talk about what I had read for the week. I really valued the feedback and advice she gave me, as well as the opportunity to structure my own learning experience.
Describe a research, internship, cross-registration, or co-curricular experience.
Last Wintersession, I spent two weeks at a startup based at Cornell University, which I learned about through a Wellesley alum. My "winternship" gave me the chance to experience startup culture and learn more about what it's like to work in the tech industry.
