Note: As of October 2013, the suburbs west of Boston have a bus system that connects towns to area attractions. The Wellesley College campus has a dedicated stop on Route 8 (Wellesley route). Route 8 also stops at Woodland, which is the second to last stop on the MBTA's Green Line. The MBTA Green Line is part of Boston's subway system and runs into downtown Boston.
Please note that this bus system runs Monday through Friday - so it's a great option for going back to the airport or South Station on Monday, April 28, or Tuesday, April 29. The bus follows a regular route and passes in front of Alumnae Hall on the Wellesley College campus, but will only stop if you wave it down! Cost is $1.50 per rider. Board an Eastbound bus (see schedule here:http://www.mwrta.com/images/RouteImages/Route_8-Wellesley.pdf) and ride all the way to the last stop, Woodland. At Woodland, purchase a ticket and board the Green Line going inbound(toward Boston) and get off at Park Street to transfer to the Red Line. Take the Red Line in the correct direction two stops to South Station. From South Station, you can board a train or bus to leave MA, or take the free Silver Line bus to the airport.
