TOWER COURT
Tower Court was the first building to be completed after a fire in 1914 destroyed the heart and soul Wellesley's original campus, College Hall. Built upon the site of the old building, Tower initiated a new era in Wellesley's development, beginning the growth that would ultimately bring Wellesley to its current existence. In tribute to the stunning beauty of College Hall, Tower displays many exquisite examples of Elizabethan Gothic and Georgian-style architecture. The sundial in the center of the yard was given by Wellesley's first graduating class (1879).
In addition to Tower Court East and West are Claflin and Severance. Adjacent to Tower Court is La Casa Cervantes, a small Spanish-language residence.
