March Notes
SPRING BREAK

Wellesley's Spring Break begins on March 19. Classes resume March 30.

During the Break period, many students are away from campus. There are no Class Visits or Lunch Visits, and the Campus Tour schedule is based on the availability of guides. The confirmed tour schedule is:

Limited Tour Schedule:

Thursday, March 19: Tours at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. (No 3:00 p.m. tour.)
Friday, March 20: Tours at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. only.
Monday, March 23: Normal tour schedule - 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday, March 24: Normal tour schedule - 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 25: Closed to the public. No tours.
Thursday, March 26: Tours at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. only.
Friday, March 27: Tours at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. only.

Campus Tours

Student-led tours are available most weekdays at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Please see the calendar above for exact availability. Tours depart from Admission on the hour so please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in. While we try to accommodate latecomers, this is not always possible.

Reservations are not accepted and all walk-in visitors are accommodated, but we ask students to complete a Visitor Information Card in advance. Visitors who are not prospective applicants should not complete the card.

Self-guided walking tour maps available outside of the Office of Admission at all times.

Interviews

There are no interviews in March.

High school juniors may begin interviewing on campus in April; high school seniors may begin interviewing off campus in September.

Class Visits
  • See calendar above for exact availability.
  • Class Visits are generally available at 9:50 a.m., 11:10 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:50 p.m. On Wednesday afternoons, classes are held at 2:15 p.m. and 3:35 p.m. rather than at
    1:30 p.m. and 2:50 p.m.
  • Most classes last 70 minutes.
  • The greatest selection is typically at 11:10 and 9:50. Options may be very limited at 2:50 (and 3:35 on Wednesdays).
  • Class availability changes daily. Please come to the Office of Admission well before the scheduled start of class to see the list of classes accepting visitors on that day and to reserve your seat. Seat reservations must be made in person and close 30 minutes before the start of class.
  • Available for high school juniors and seniors, as well as transfer and Davis Degree applicants. No limit on the number of classes you visit!

Lunch Visits

Available to high school juniors and seniors by appointment, Monday through Friday at 12:30 p.m.  Please call 781-283-2270 to schedule.

Two weeks' advance notice is preferred, three business days' notice is required.

Information Sessions

There are no Information Sessions in March. Information Sessions will resume in April.

Overnight Visits

There are no Overnight Visits in March. Overnight Visits for accepted students will be available in April.

Overnight Visits

Overnight Visits are available most days Monday through Thursday to accepted students and Early Evaluation "likely" students by appointment through April 23. See calendar above for exact availability.

Spring Open Campus

This special visit program is for accepted students and their families. Registration will open the day after admission decisions are released and will close one week before the start of the program.

Sunday, April 12 is "Conversations on Diversity" Day, while Spring Open Campus runs Monday, April 13 - Tuesday, April 14. More information, including a link to a tentative schedule, will be provided with your acceptance materials.

VISIT OPTIONS DURING SPRING OPEN CAMPUS
On Sunday, April 12, all programming is reserved for Spring Open Campus attendees. The Office of Admission is closed and there are no visit options for the general public.
On Monday, April 13, the Office of Admission is open for normal business hours. Please note, however, that there are no tours, information sessions, lunch visits, interviews, or overnight visits available. Visitors not registered for Spring Open Campus may attend a class, if eligible. All other options are reserved for registered Spring Open Campus attendees.
On Tuesday, April 14, the Office of Admission is open for normal business hours, although there are no information sessions, interviews, lunch visits, or morning class visits. (All class visits at 8:30, 9:50, and 11:10 a.m. are reserved for registered Spring Open Campus attendees.) Eligible visitors may attend an afternoon class, or take one of our regularly-scheduled tours. We operate on a normal tour schedule on Tuesday, April 14. Overnight visits are not available on April 14.

Ruhlman Conference The entire campus attends this incredible event! While classes are canceled and the Office of Admission does not offer tours, information sessions, or any other visit options, members of the public are strongly encouraged to attend Ruhlman.
