Purchasing Commencement Attire - 2013/2014
Seniors will have the opportunity to purchase Commencement attire on campus from our vendor, Herff-Jones, in September 2013 and then again in May 2014. The price for gowns is $26, and the tams (caps) cost $32. Please pay with cash or a personal check (no credit cards, please). Sales will take place in Room 415, Lulu Wang Campus Center, on the following dates:
- Tuesday, September 3, 2013 (for Convocation): 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
It is a Wellesley tradition for seniors to wear gowns to Convocation.
- Wednesday, May 7, 2014: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Seniors traditionally wear their gowns on the last day of Spring semester classes. (The last day
of classes is May 9, 2014.)
- Wednesday, May 28, 2014: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon
- Friday, May 30, 2014 (Commencement Day): 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Borrowing Commencement Attire
If you do not have the financial resources to purchase Commencement attire, please contact the Students' Aid Society. They have a limited number of gowns available to lend to graduating seniors. Contact Catherine Schedlbauer at 781-283-2292, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donating / Upcycling Your Commencement Attire
If you would like to donate or upcycle your gown and/or tam after Commencement, our Students' Aid Society would be happy to receive them. You may drop off your attire at the Students' Aid Society located at 29 Green Hall, just around the corner from El Table.
