Barbara Tannenbaum
Barbara Tannenbaum teaches courses in public speaking and persuasive communication in the Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies and is a faculty member in the Brown/IE Executive MBA Program.

Dr. Tannenbaum is president of Dynamic Communication, LLC and a faculty member in the Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies at Brown University. Dynamic Communication has delivered communications programs on six continents, teaching participants how to maximize the power of their communications. Her commercial clients include ClickUP, Microsoft, Google, Intel, BuzzFeed, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, CVS, and Chanel. Non-profit clients include Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. In addition to her undergraduate courses, Barbara teaches in the Brown University School of Engineering’s ScM programs in Science and Technology Leadership and Innovation, Management & Entrepreneurship (PRIME). Dr. Tannenbaum has been awarded many professional and academic honors, including Business & Professional Women’s Businesswoman of the Year and numerous outstanding professor-of-the-year awards at Brown University. Barbara earned her doctorate in communication studies with a minor in social psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her research interests include how power is achieved via persuasiveness.
