Alondra Navarro
Alondra is a junior majoring in sociology with a minor in philosophy.

During the summer of 2016, Alondra worked with the Summer Institute for the Gifted, serving at their University of California Berkeley site as both a program counselor and teaching assistant. During the school year, Alondra volunteers as a counselor for the Mission Hill After School Program, helping to facilitate both personal and academic growth in program participants through personalized tutoring. On campus, she works as a writing tutor for the Wellesley College Writing Program, assisting students across all disciplines to build strong writing skills. In addition to her job and volunteer work, Alondra has conducted extensive research with Professor Peggy Levitt of Wellesley’s sociology department to study the existing transnational resource networks of emigrants living abroad. Upon graduation, Alondra hopes to pursue work in the field of education that focuses on assisting students from traditionally underserved backgrounds.
