Albright Fellow 2015

Amelia McClure
Amelia is a Junior majoring in Biological Science and minoring in Environmental Studies.

She is excited about pursuing research into Environmental Microbiology and Agroecology. She is currently working in a Wellesley Microbiology lab examining the scientific basis of permaculture techniques, a popular form of small scale sustainable agriculture. Last summer she worked as a field technician at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest examining forest food webs and climate change. On campus, she lives in the sustainability cooperative and works at the student run cafe, El Table. Amelia's goal upon graduation is to combine scientific research into microbiology with community level implementation of sustainable agriculture techniques through participant directed research.
