Charlotte Benishek
Charlotte is a junior majoring in environmental studies with an academic background in both environmental science and policy.

She is particularly interested in food systems as well as environmental degradation in developing countries. Last summer Charlotte interned with Crittenton Women’s Union, a non-profit that advocates for low-income women, where she researched and co-authored a report on the effects of consumer debt on low-income women in Boston. At Wellesley, Charlotte is a member of the varsity crew team and has served as a research assistant in the Geoscience Department. Next semester, Charlotte will be studying abroad in the Peruvian Amazon. This summer she hopes to utilize her Spanish skills while working with a non-profit organization focused on environmental conservation in Latin America.
