Madeline Taylor ’19
Albright Fellow 2018

Madeline Taylor
Madeline is a junior majoring in History and German Studies.

She is particularly interested in issues of space and the nation, as well as the historical relationship between the United States and Germany. Last summer, Madeline worked as an intern at the Stiftung Frauenkirche in Dresden, Germany, funded by a Global Citizenship grant. Here she did historical research and honed her German language skills by operating in a German workplace and completing several translation projects. The previous summer, she interned at Historic Denver, a historic preservation nonprofit in her hometown. On campus, Madeline is a student manager in the Copy Center, a student assistant in the History Department, a member of the History Student Advisory Council, and a member of Wellesley’s Ultimate Frisbee team, the Whiptails. Madeline hopes to live and work in a German-speaking country again before eventually pursuing a PhD in history.
