Poe Oo
Poe is a senior majoring in International Relations with a concentration in Political Science.

Her thesis focuses on the motivations behind the Obama administration’s decision to intervene against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. In the summer of 2014, she interned at the Clinton Development Initiative, one of the eleven initiatives of the Clinton Foundation. She has also interned at The Myanmar Times and worked as a research assistant for Professor Stacie Goddard in the Political Science department. During her junior year, Poe studied abroad at the University of Oxford. She is bilingual in English and Burmese, with basic knowledge of Mandarin and Japanese. After graduation, Poe plans to work in an organization that focuses on international security issues, particularly those of the Middle East.
